Mouse.h fatal error

hi,

I'm trying to do a mouse controller with the Joystick in Galileo gen 2, but when I'm using the mouse.h, I get this error:

arduino-1.6.7\libraries\Mouse\src/Mouse.h: fatal error HID.h: no such file directory.

I trying to downgrade the version of the environment, and to reinstall it, but it didnt solved it.

I also get into the dir and i saw that the file: HID.h is exist. But, I see that the path in the error msg has also a back slash:

\Mouse\src/Mouse.h... i think mybe this is the problem.

Eventually, I checked in the net, and i discover that the package unsupported in this board.

so i want to know if there is any replacement?

thanks,

Daniel94

Hello Daniel94,

Are you using another design/sketch as an example or designing from scratch? I do not have any experience with joysticks, is it "standard" to handle joysticks via the mouse library?

Would you send some code?

I've not seen much change in supported libraries, so I think unsupported libraries would remain unsupported, but maybe I'm losing something.

Fernando.

Hi Fernando,

first I want to thank you for your help.

I can send you my code, but there is an website that show the code of the same program i want to do, and it quite similar to mine.

This is the link:

https://www.arduino.cc/en/Tutorial/JoystickMouseControl?action=sourceblock&num=1 https://www.arduino.cc/en/Tutorial/JoystickMouseControl?action=sourceblock&num=1

The code works for sure, but not on Galileo.

And if you want i can send also my code.

Best regards,

Daniel94

I see, thanks, it is enough with this code example.

I think that

"Controls the mouse from a joystick on an Arduino Leonardo, Micro or Due."

(copied from the URL you sent) implies a high likelihood that the example will not work on an Intel Galileo... maybe the Due similarity would help, but I think that the underlying Intel Galileo Linux (Yocto) operating system would not help in reusing this example.

Looking for examples of joystick control in Intel Galileo I found several "overkilling" examples (at least for me)... and many of them directly imply to use Debian, specific shields, etc... (some of them in Spanish...)

I think there should be some better/reduced example...

I would like to have time to experiment with this... please keep us/me posted if you advance

Best regards,

Fernando.
