To Mike C - Intel

Some months ago - maybe 3 or 4 - I updated on my stick the windows 10 and the stick doesn't work anymore, until days later recover operability. On this actual event, the fact it's the same and in the last two days the stick don't recover from the message "recovering the previous windows version", without a possibility to stop the process and recover the operability of the stick. By the way, I disconnect the stick from electricity and always return to the same point of the message.

On this point the unique open gate to recover my stick functionality, it's sending to Intel, AT MY EXPENSES, in order to get a technical review AND A PRACTICAL REVIEW OF THE STUF.

Can you indicate to me the process?

Thank a lot for your message and the interest.

Sincerely, Carlos Umana

Hi carlosumana,

I suggest you to upgrade the BIOS version of your stick using the recovery option.

The latest version is 0031. Download and copy the file name FC0031.BIO in the root of a USB drive.

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25506/BIOS-Update-FCBYT10H-86A-?product=86612 https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25506/BIOS-Update-FCBYT10H-86A-?product=86612

Then, follow the instructions described in the link below.

BIOS Recovery Instructions for Intel® Compute Stick

Finally try to boot to Windows® 10. If it didn't work, restart the stick, keep tapping F8 and select rest unit.

If problem continues, contact our support team and request a replacement.
