New to the Edison: Can I use it to collect raw packets (i.e. make a wifi sniffer with functionality of kismet, airodump)?

Is this possible with the onboard wifi card? Could you direct some code or resources my way if this is possible?

Hi kmuzumdar,

Have you checked this thread before? https://software.intel.com/en-us/forums/internet-of-things/topic/544562 https://software.intel.com/en-us/forums/internet-of-things/topic/544562. In there they provide a guide for Programming UDP sockets in C on Linux. They also suggest to go directly to Linux, apparently is the best approach to accomplish this.
