POE for Intel® Galileo Gen 2 Board

Hi

I intend to install the Silvertel AG9712-FL Module in the Intel Galileo Gen 2.

I will be using a TP-Link TL-POE150SE Splitter.

The splitter will be connected to a non-POE ethernet switch and DC power supply.

Question:

Can I use a 24VDC power supply?

Thank you

Hg

Hi tcrowe,

Thank you for contacting us, we'll be more than glad to help you with your question.

Regarding your board, do you mean powering the Galileo Gen 2 with a 24V power supply? You should not supply any voltage to the board that isn't between 7V and 15V (to the power barrel). So, if you apply 24V directly you'll definitely damage the board. If you are going to use this 24V power supply, you should use a voltage regulator in-between (7V to 15V).
