Hello wj ju,
Thank you for interest in the Intel® Edison Breakout Board.
I have to inform you that software issues related to the Android Things platform are handled by the Android Develop Support (even if they are related to the Intel Edison Board).
Please follow this link to receive the corresponding technical support: https://developer.android.com/support.html.
If you experience a hardware related issue with your Edison board, don't hesitate to contact us through this community.
As you can see in the following link https://software.intel.com/en-us/articles/flash-tool-lite-user-manual, the latest officially supported MacOS version is 10.9.5 64-bit.
While doing the corresponding research, I noticed that some customers have successfully used the Flash Tool with MacOS 10.12, but there is not an official stand on why that is possible.
If you have been experiencing issues with the flashing process, I'll recommend you to follow this guide https://software.intel.com/en-us/flashing-firmware-on-your-intel-edison-board-mac-os-x. The manual process is a simple and very effective way to flash your firmware.
Please let me know if you find the previous information useful
Hello Andres V,
I followed this guide https://software.intel.com/en-us/articles/installing-android-things-on-intel-edison-kit-for-arduino Installing Android Things* on Intel® Edison Kit for Arduino* | Intel® Software , but that is for Ubuntu.
this guide https://software.intel.com/en-us/flashing-firmware-on-your-intel-edison-board-mac-os-x https://software.intel.com/en-us/flashing-firmware-on-your-intel-edison-board-mac-os-x. is for Yocto, not for Android Things
Thank you for sharing that information.
The reason I suggested a Yocto-oriented guide was because the Android Things approach is out of the scope of this technical support team (even if the guide you are following was written by Intel).
That is also the reason why I previously suggested you to contact the Android Develop Support team ( https://developer.android.com/support.html).
I understand that your project needs to follow the Android Things path, so please get in touch with the corresponding support team to get the assistance that you need.
If you have an issue related to your Edison board, don't hesitate to contact us.
