I am trying to discover all Edison's on the local network, I read that Edison is using Bonjour/Zeroconf. Is there an official documentation on the ports, service name formats etc. specific to Edison that I can use. Any sample code is available? Any libraries that work out of the box ?
Any information on this would be useful. Thanks in advance.
Could you explain more clearly your goal? To check from the Edison the networks to which you can connect, use the command configure_edison –wifi. You can see this here https://software.intel.com/en-us/connecting-your-intel-edison-board-using-wifi https://software.intel.com/en-us/connecting-your-intel-edison-board-using-wifi . Specifically, which kind of information are you looking for? The Edison documentation can be found here http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/boards-and-kits/intel-edison-boards.html http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/boards-and-kits/intel-edison-boards.html .
There you can find all the documents related to the Edison.
Let us know if this is what you were looking for.
There's no documentation that specifies to this level how Bonjour is implemented on the Edison. We'll try to look for more information on the subject and post here if we manage to find something useful.
I couldn't find any additional information about how Bonjour is implemented on Edison. I recommend you to try to look at the image sources for any code implementations of Bonjour, but that might be challenging since there is no documentation about it.
I wish I could provide you a more complete answer, but there is not additional information on this topic.
