Problem with running Galileo Gen 2

I am new to Galileo. I am using Galileo gen 2 board. I have configured Galileo using instructions on

https://software.intel.com/en-us/iot/library/galileo-getting-started https://software.intel.com/en-us/iot/library/galileo-getting-started.

I was successful in writing the image to memory card, but when I made a serial connection using putty, it opened a terminal but nothing was displayed. Instruction said to press enter twice, I tried pressing many times but still nothing was displayed. I tried both in Ubuntu and Windows, but same problem. I have tried to make the image on two memory cards and also used two Gen 2 boards but the same problem persist.

Hi rupeshnarayan

Are you using a 5V or 3.3V FTDI Cable?

Are you able to see the Serial Port in the Device Manager (Windows) or in /dev (Ubuntu)?

Did you http://http//downloadmirror.intel.com/24748/eng/IntelGalileoFirmwareUpdaterUserGuide-1.0.4.pdf update the firmware of the board?

Are you using a 2.0 or 3.0 USB port?

Which settings are you using on Putty?

In Ubuntu are you using sudo screen /dev/ttyUSB0 115200?

Are you having the same behavior when you boot with and without the SD card?

Regards,

Charlie

Hi rupeshnarayan,

Have you been able to open a Terminal Session with your board?

Regards,

Charlie
