Hi,
From D1000/D2000 datasheets it can be seen that there are 4 SS (Slave Select) pins that can be controlled by the SPI master peripheral itself.
D1000 pin names MST_M2SS[3:0]
D2000 pin names SPI_M_SS[3:0]
Question 1.
Are these 4 pins mutually exclusive with lets say 1 being used as a Slave Select and the other 3 as GPIO ?
Question 2.
Is the D1000 operation the same as the D2000 operation in this case ?
many thanks,
Adrian

Hi Adrian,
Apologies for the delay getting back to you on this.
My understanding is that the SS Pins are mutually exclusive but I just need to confim that - As soon as I have the confirmation I will let you know.
regards,
Michelle.

I can confirm that for the D2000 the slave selects are individually enabled. So if you want one slave select, the other three can be GPIO.
regards,
Michelle.

Thanks for the confirmation Michelle.
Hopefully the operation on D1000 is the same as D2000 as we are building hardware to support both SKUs, it looks like it is from the datasheets so thats great.
cheers

Hi Adrian,
D1000 slave select output pins are mutually exclusive. You may refer to D1000 User Guide for more details.
Thanks.
