We need to use the Galileo 2 board in our application but we have two droughts as below.
1) We are currently use the Intel Galileo 2 board. my kernel is 3.8.7.
we need to use the SDIO(Wifi) and emmc(memory) on galileo 2 board.
is this possible to interface the SDIO and EMMC both with quark processor?
2) Is this possible to boot the USB drive in intel galileo 2 board with kerrnel 3.8.7 ?
Please provide us the support .
Thanks in advance?
Yes, you can use SDIO and eMMC on the Galileo. You can see more information in the Quark X1000 datasheet. http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/embedded/products/quark/quark-x1000-datasheet.html http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/embedded/products/quark/quark-x1000-datasheet.html
Section 1.2.10 talks about the features, section 2.7 talks about the signals and for more specific information look at Section 17.
In your second question you want to have access to the files in the USB drive or do you want to have the Linux image in the USB drive and boot from that image?
Thanks for answer.
We need to use the SDIO for (wifi+Bluetooth) and eMMC as (storage) both on same time.
is this possible?
second issue is solved.
3) what is the process to bring up the fresh new quark board.
which software and hardware requirements.
we are booting our image from the sdcard so legacy flash is compulsory require or not?
how to first time program the board or Flash?
I believe they can't be used at the same time. If you look at the document we recommended in our previous post you can see at the beginning of section 17 that the Quark provides an SDIO/SD/eMMC controller that supports a single port configurable as:
• One SDIO 3.0 interface
• One SD 3.0 interface
• One eMMC 4.41 interface
About the third point, I'm not sure exactly what you're referring to. Are you asking about the process of creating a new quark image or how to create a custom board? Please provide more details.
