STK1A32SC pierde configuración BIOS

-Buenas,

Hello Jasevi,

I'm sorry to hear the issue you have had with the Intel® Compute stick.

Do you have the latest BIOS version for these units? You can download the latest BIOS at the following link:

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26536/BIOS-Update-SCCHTAX5-86A-?product=91064 Download BIOS Update [SCCHTAX5.86A]

Please check http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/boards-and-kits/intel-compute-stick/000006039.html F7 BIOS Update Instructions for Intel® Compute Stick

Once you do the bios update, access the BIOS and press F9 on your keyboard if you have one available and then set the BIOS to the configuration you need and save all the changes by pressing F10 on your keyboard.

Please let me know how it goes.

Best regards,

Ivan.

Hello Jasevi,

I just want to let you know that we are still investigating this issue.

To have a better picture of the issue where at BIOS you change the 32 to 64 bits option, would please attach a picture of that part on the BIOS?

Thank you.

When you click on there you are able to select 32bit and 64bit operating system? This is just to have it clear and be able to help you.

Thanks,

Ivan.

Hi Ivan,

yes, i can select.

The problem is that some of these sticks return alone to 32 bits.

This seems to lose bios memory.

Thanks.

Hello,

I just want to let you know that we are still investigating this issue; we have right now one of these units set up to see if we get the same behavior.

Is it possible for you to select the option Android in the BIOS and monitor what happens? If it is possible for you if not that is understandable.

Best regards,

Ivan.

Hi Ivan,

I select the android option and it's works; but if the problem is the loss of bios memory it would be the same.

I'm trying to reproduce the fault with power cuts and restarts on some sticks, i haven't got any result for the moment.

But i reproduce the other failure:

after turning them off with power cuts, sometimes the stick doesn't start (the led turn on but no hdmi image and i think no start the system);

and i have to turn off by pressing the button for turn it on correctly. ( the bios option "power state" is "always on" )

did you know anything about this?

thanks, regars.

Javier.

We have been trying to replicate this issue but we have not seen anything weird so far, it's hard to reproduce it if this can happen after sometime of using it.

Also, when I set the power state to always on, disconnect the power and then turn it back on, it starts without issue. I tried this several times and I did not see anything weird either.

At this point, I suggest you to get replacements for the units.

I have sent you a private message.
