I want to send the sensor data from Intel Edison to Android Phone using Intel Edison's built-in bluetooth module and Arduino IDE. I could find the reverse way of sending text from Android Phone to Intel Edison but I need the other way round for my mini-project.Thanks

Hi Zeenat,
I would suggest you to start by checking this document to connect your Edison module to your Android phone. I'm not sure if this is the same document that you found earlier but this one has some interesting information that you may have missed. I also found this older thread where this same question is discussed https://software.intel.com/en-us/forums/internet-of-things/topic/542726 https://software.intel.com/en-us/forums/internet-of-things/topic/542726. Have you read it before?

I could successfully do what all was mentioned here (Bluetooth transmisson through SPP from Phone to Edison) but couldn't do the other way round.Kindly help

Hi Zeenat,
Try following the instructions from this thread, /thread/56909 https://communities.intel.com/thread/56909. This is exactly the same scenario that you want to achieve. I would suggest you to read the second part of the eighth post, the one that allene shared. He explains how he was able to send data from the Edison to the phone.

Bluetooth socket can be established between phone and edison without pairing. This can be done through l2cap.
