Hi gau999,
Thank you for contacting us.
The previous method used to connect and upload data from the Edison to a cloud-based system was called Cloud Analytics. This service from Intel has been discontinued but, there are other alternatives you can use.
You can use alternative solutions such as Amazon Web Services (AWS)*, Microsoft Azure* IoT Hub, or IBM Bluemix* IoT. The following guides contain step-by-step instructions you can use to connect your Edison to each of these cloud services.
Take a look at:

Hi gau999,
The reason why the IoT Analytics is not working as it should is because it has been discontinued. We strongly suggest not to use this service and choose one of the alternative solutions from our previous reply.
Please refer to https://software.intel.com/en-us/iot/hardware/edison# cloud https://software.intel.com/en-us/iot/hardware/edison# cloud for alternatives to IoT Analytics and guides on how to connect and work with different cloud solutions.
Let us know if there's anything else we can help you with.
