Timing - Comparison

Hi,

Due to a reply in a recent thread ( ) I made a few timing tests for Galileo vs. Arduino UNO comparison.

So far, I've collected (some raw kind of) integer processing and (some raw kind of) float processing, which are attached.

Summarizing, for the attached examples I've found

Integer processing, Galileo > 5x Arduino UNO

Float processing, Galileo > 25x Arduino UNO

I remember that I/O does not necessarily has as direct comparison as processing, since there are some some extra work that has to be done in Galileo (e.g. ). I'll try to make my own comparisons, though, just to verify results.

BR,

Fernando.

I've completed some I/O tests, which are already known, but just in case I post my results here.

Summarizing, for the attached examples I've found

Digital Output Arduino, 1000 High-Low: 10 ms.

Digital Output Intel Galileo, 1000 High-Low: 4490 ms.

Digital Output Intel Galileo, special setting for Intel Galileo, OUTPUT_FAST: 1000 High-Low: 2.25 ms.

BR,

Fernando.
