UART1 and UART2 on Edison

Is there a specific way to configure Edison to use both UART1 and UART2 at the same time from Arduino IDE?

Accoding to this post, Serial2.begin() will open communication with UART2. What is not clear to me is what happens when I issue Serial.begin(). Doesit open communication with Serial/OTG and Serial1/UART1 simultaneously?

Hi welcomesorrow,

Given that they are different ports, Serial.begin() will not have any effect over Serial1/UART1, if you want to make use of UART1 you'll need to use Serial1.begin and the same applies if you're going to use UART2. About using UART2, I would also suggest you to check this post /thread/57591 https://communities.intel.com/thread/57591.
