USB Micro A or Micro B

Jump to solution

Hi,

Regarding the Intel Edison Kit for Arduino, NOT the Breakout Board, I have found some information regarding the type if USB cable required for the left two micro USB connectors that has me confused.

Looking at the following

https://software.intel.com/en-us/appendix-connectors-on-the-intel-edison-board https://software.intel.com/en-us/appendix-connectors-on-the-intel-edison-board

it says:

Middle USB port (Micro A type)

Edge port (Micro A Type)

But looking at

http://download.intel.com/support/edison/sb/edison_arduino_hvm_8_26.pdf http://download.intel.com/support/edison/sb/edison_arduino_hvm_8_26.pdf

it indicates: indicates micro Type-B

Question: is micro Type-B correct and the first reference, above, Micro A type, a typo?

Thanks,

Bill

Hi,

a document with electrical scheme provides correct information: Micro USB Type B.

The first reference has a typo.
