I travel a lot and sometimes power cuts out in hotels. It would be useful to connect the stick to an external battery, but I want to make sure that I get one that's compatible. Thoughts?
For example, would this cell-phone charger/battery work ok with the Compute Stick? AKEEM Portable Charger 22000mAh External Battery with Dual Input Port and Solar Charger.

Hello craighanoch,
Thank you for contacting the Intel community.
In this case, we don't guarantee that a stick will work with other components like this because Intel has not validated, so because of that there is no battery brand or model that we can say is compatible, but we have seen positive feedback in other posts, you can check here:
/thread/102454 https://communities.intel.com/thread/102454
I encourage other community members to share their experience with us if it is possible.
You can also check https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/boards-and-kits/intel-compute-stick/000005927.html Issues When Using USB Ports to Power the Intel® Compute Stick

I have to ask what may be a dumb question: What good is a battery-powered ICS when the TV/Monitor is NOT powered?
Just askin...

I use the stick for MS Office files and carry a portable monitor. Had to get the stick so that I could travel through Trump-banned airports. I stick the monitor in my luggage, but don't want to lose my PC, so I carry that in my briefcase. A battery would help me to avoid losing work due to the occasional lapses in power in poorer nations. Make sense?

Hello imgetercume,
This information that you are providing is different than the issue on this thread, if you need to get some help from Intel I strongly recommend creating a new thread for better assistance.
Regards,
Ivan U.
