Zephyr SDK Download Error

Jump to solution

Hi all,

I am trying to re-install the M tree using Intel's directions at https://software.intel.com/en-us/node/675543 Installing and Using the M Tree | Intel® Software

I have Ubuntu 16.04. I have previously downloaded all the trees and zephyr in June.

When I get to the make setup step and the Zephyr 0.9.1 SDK begins to dowload, I get the error:

Setting up x86 Firmware

Does anyone know what's going on?

Hi tamrako,

Thanks for your patience.

A link seems to be broken, please apply the patch (zephyr_sdk.patch) provided to have a successful install.

mkdir -p ~/CODK && cd $_

git clone https://github.com/01org/CODK-M.git https://github.com/01org/CODK-M.git

cd CODK-M

make clone

**Need to copy patch to this dirrectory**

patch -p0 < zephyr_sdk.patch

sudo make install-dep

make setup

export CODK_DIR=$(pwd)

source ../zephyr/http://zephyr-env.sh/ zephyr-env.sh

Hope this information helps.

Regards,

Hi Yermi,

I've been working with Tamra on the same project. I recently downloaded the SDK with the patch. The download is success but it seems to miss a directory i586-zephyr-elf. Tamra used the patch about a week ago and her environment is fine, so I'm wondering if there is another change made that results in the error. The lack of i586-zephyr-elf directory results me not being able to compile (with make command) any application Whenever I try to compile it throws this error:

/home/vanissy/CODK/zephyr-sdk/sysroots/x86_64-pokysdk-linux/usr/bin/i586-zephyr-elf/i586-zephyr-elf-gcc: not found

Thanks,

Jie

Hi Jie,

We are not able to duplicate the error that you are reporting. We followed the steps on applying the patch, as well as the guide available in this site: https://software.intel.com/en-us/node/675543

Could you please tell us what steps you followed or which guide you are using?

Hi Yermi,

Yeah I tried the same instruction steps on another linux computer, and it works fine. So, it is something with my own machine, I'll fix it since I know where the issue is now. Thank you very much for your help.

Sincerely,

Jie
