auto shutdown

Just got the linux ubuntu compute stick. I am using the supplied power source, it appears to boot ubuntu (the standard purple screen and dots. But presumably once booted (but no login screen) it seems to flash a white page and powers down. Hitting the power button starts the whole thing again. It cant be a heat issue as its barely on for 40 seconds or so and on shut down the power button starts it up again immediately. Most dissapointing from such a large expensive company, most disgusting really, those tight assed millionares provide such short cables and don't even provide a toll free support line, don't work on weekends when in fact thats when most ordinary people would try out their shit. The richer you are the tighter you are. Any ideas? solutions? or just return.

jackobyte: Thank you very much for joining the Intel® Compute Stick communities.

The problem could be related to the power supply of the stick. If you have the option to use another power supply, another cable and test it on different outlets, please try that, in order to rule out that option.

We can also try a BIOS recovery to the latest version, 0035. If during the process the Intel® compute stick goes off, then a replacement of the unit will be the next thing to do:

If you are interested in replacing the stick, please get in contact with Intel directly:
