c program for Edison and Grove

Jump to solution

Hello everyone,

We are doing a project in Erlang using arduino with Edison chip and Grove Starter Kit(sensors), in order to achieve our goals we need a function in C that would return the output of the sensors, for example : float getTemperature () -> Temperature ,that way we can receive the output of the sensors ,we already have a program in Erlang for managing the transportation from c code to Erlang , but if somebody else has a program which do that we are more than welcome to hear from you!.

Looking forward for any reply.

Thank you,

Hi razo,

Looks that it is difficult to get any example code on C using the Grove Starter Kit with the Intel Edison, I tried but I didn't get any.

But you can look this link: https://software.intel.com/en-us/iot/hardware/sensors, there are all the sensors and there are examples codes mostly on Javascript and C++, you can look these examples to get an idea to implement your code on C. I also recommend you to see the UPM and MRAA repositories ( https://software.intel.com/en-us/iot/hardware/edison/dev-kit, "Get on Github") because they have a lot of information and especially the general examples of the MRAA repository on C.

Maybe looking at the examples of the sensors and the examples of the MRAA library on C, you will be able to implement your own code on C.

I hope this information helps you and good luck with your project.

Regards,
