Hello gau999

Sorry to hear you are having troubles.

Can you please post some details of what does happen when you try to upload the program?

What errors do you get? How is your system set up?

Are on on Mac or Windows? etc

hello sir,

now the problem is , after uploading if i remove usb connector and again plug, i need to upload program again .

in arduino if we remove power supply or serial usb connection we don't need to upload program again , program get start automatically but in edison i need to upload each and every time

Yes - many people have had that problem.

The Edison is no like some other Arduino clones. It runs a full operating system (linux) and therefore the startup procedure is different from a micro-controller.

Have a look at this good blog post https://software.intel.com/en-us/blogs/2015/08/01/procedure-to-autostart-the-arduino-sketch-on-ediso... here it should help you.

Hi gau999,

Thanks for your interest in the Intel Edison Platform.

Unfortunately the SoftwareSerial.h library is not supported in the Arduino IDE for the Intel Edison. In this thread you will see an alternative where you can use the GPIO pins as UART .

I hope you find this information useful, have a nice day!

Best Regards,

Hello sir,

i want to test Temperature , humidity, current sensor etc on I2C bus

For temperature and Humidity we are using DHT 22 sensor http://https//www.amazon.com/Parts-tower-Digital-Temperature-Humidity/dp/B01FVW9UCK/ref%3Dsr_1_6%3Fs... https://www.amazon.com/Parts-tower-Digital-Temperature-Humidity/dp/B01FVW9UCK/ref=sr_1_6?s=hi&ie=UTF... ,

and for current measurement we are using yhdc CT 100 sensor http://https//www.amazon.com/YHDC-SCT013-000-Transformer-Input100A-Suspension/dp/B01DNL3N6A/ref%3Dsr... https://www.amazon.com/YHDC-SCT013-000-Transformer-Input100A-Suspension/dp/B01DNL3N6A/ref=sr_1_4?s=i...

and these sensor i want test on I2C protocol, can we use these sensor with I2C bus?

if not, which sensor have i to use for i2c protocol for Temperature , humidity , current measurement , water level , water flow, gas sensor, water quality

could you please suggest above sensors for industrial application

Hi gau999,

We saw that you opened another thread , asking for sensors that could work using I2C protocol with the Edison. In there you will find a proper answer to all your questions

Best Regards,

Hi gau999,

This seems to be an error related to the Arduino IDE, I think that in this forum https://forum.arduino.cc/ Arduino Forum - Index they might be able to provide you further assistance.

Now, that said, I did my own investigation and found these links:

- http://www.instructables.com/id/A-solution-to-avrdude-stk500getsync-not-in-syn/ Solution: Avrdude Stk500_getsync(): Not in Sync Resp=0x30 Error for Arduino - All

- http://forum.arduino.cc/index.php?topic=28223.0 avrdude: stk500_getsync(): not in sync: resp=0x00

Most of the solutions is to check that you are selecting the right Board (check -> ) and check that you are selecting the right Port (check that the Port selected in the Arduino IDE is the same as your Virtual Port).

Hope this helps, have a nice day!

Best Regards,

-Jose P.
