configure_edison failure

Jump to solution

Hello,

Although I have used configure_edison successfully in the past (more than a year ago!), my current attempt fails:

configure_edison --wifi

File "/usr/bin/configure_edison", line 160

print unacceptable_failure % location

SyntaxError: Missing parentheses in call to 'print'

I understand the error message is due to some inadvertent change in the file but I did not edit this file. All parameters (and even none) fail at the same statement. What is my recovery option?

Thanks.

Hello Matha,

Thank you for your interest in the Intel Edison board.

Please make sure you first established a serial connection with the board. You can find the steps here: https://software.intel.com/en-us/setting-up-serial-terminal-on-system-with-linux

If the issue still persists, you might need to reflash the firmware on the board:

https://software.intel.com/en-us/flashing-firmware-on-your-intel-edison-board-linux

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Octavian

Hello Octavian,

I am working with you on another thread to flash the firmware. If I can complete your instructions successfully from that thread, I believe I should be able to configure the WiFi as before without any further issue. Please mark this thread as closed.

Thanks again.
