custom (Seperate) palpitation for Intel Edison

I want to use different palpitation for Intel Edison. One for Bios/Firmware and One for user programs.

My idea is we need to separate BIOS and/or Root fs and User programs. It is similar to micro kernel architecture.

If something is wrong in firmware or user program Still device should work with Linux services(BIOS/Rootfs).

Please provide the details how make custom partition on yocto linux.

Hello IoT_srinivas,

I don't understand what you mean by "...different palpitation for Intel Edison…" Could you please explain what you mean by palpitation?

You mention custom partitions, are you referring to that? If that's not the case and you only need to modify the Edison's partitions, I suggest you to read the following thread where David Hunt explains how to repartition the Edison with the flashall script:

I think I now understand you. You would like to either boot from SD card or from eMMc, right? If so, then I believe my suggestion in https://communities.intel.com/thread/103306 https://communities.intel.com/thread/103306 should be able to help you.
