I created my own PCB for the Intel-Edison some time ago. There is a powermanagemnet avialbale, icluding charging IC and gauge IC. Its wokring with a battery. If I use the "poweroff" command in linux the device is off and I plug the USB cable for charning afterwards the device is booting automatically. Is there a way to avoid this? (in software) I attached the powerbutton part of the scematic.
Once the device is off I want to turn it on by pressing only the powerbutton.

Thank you for your interest in the Intel Edison board.
Your request has been received and is currently being investigated.
We will get back to you as soon as possible.
Thank you very much for your patience in receiving an answer to your query.
We are not sure how easy or difficult this task may be. There are some files in the source image that are related to the power button and the usb otg port (there may also be others).
You may need to take a look at them and modify them to fit your project needs.
Keep in mind such changes are out of our support scope and the modifications may not work as expected.
