Hello mailto:falak.desai@yahoo.com falak.desai@yahoo.com,

You could download the v4l-utils source with the command git clone git://linuxtv.org/v4l-utils.git v4l-utils and build it from source with the instructions contained in the package or you could set up http://alextgalileo.altervista.org/edison-package-repo-configuration-instructions.html AlexT's repo, he has version 1.0.1. Let me know if you need help setting up the repo on your board.

Peter.

Hi,

I downloaded v4l-utils from http://alextgalileo.altervista.org/edison-package-repo-configuration-instructions.html AlexT's repo, but when I run the following command, it gives an error:

COMMAND: v4l2-ctl

ERROR: -sh: v4l2-ctl : command not found

I installed both libv4l and v4l-utils and my Edison does recognize the command v4l2-ctl. Did you only install v4l-utils? Try installing libv4l too.

That is really weird, I just reflashed my Edison to see if I had any packages that was making my Edison to have a different behavior to yours. I just installed both libv4l and v4l-utils and the command v4l2-ctl worked. I suggest you to reflash your Edison to the latest image maybe that solves the issue.
