This is a known limitation of the Edison board.

In order to be able to save and restart your sketch you will need to install a micro SD card. The good news is with a micro SD card you do not have to worry about the size of your sketch. The storage size is much larger than a typical Arduino.

if you do have an Intel(R) Edison Arduino breakout board: just insert the SD card?

Hello zainuri,

This is a known issue on the Edison's latest image. It has already been notified to the appropriate team and we are currently working on it. However in the meantime, the user AliDouiyek created a workaround it, you can found it in . Take a look at it and let us know.

Peter.
