Hi,
I am new to ioTivity. I am trying to build ioTivity on edison board. I followed the steps given in the below link with the resource "edison-src-ww25.5-15.tgz".
https://wiki.iotivity.org/running_sample_codes_in_iotivity_0.9_sdk_on_edison https://wiki.iotivity.org/running_sample_codes_in_iotivity_0.9_sdk_on_edison
The build process stops at fetching the resource "iotkit-agent-0.2.0-r0"
Thanks in Advance
Yogeesh

Hi Yogeesh,
Thanks for reaching out!
I appreciate the information provided, however I would like to let you know that other users have been having issues building an image because IoT Analytics dashboard has been taken offline, and I believe that issue is related to it, you can check for more details here: /thread/108000 https://communities.intel.com/thread/108000.
Moreover I have found this information regarding installing IoTivity on the Edison, I have not tried that, however it could be helpful: https://github.com/intelmakers/GETTING-STARTED/wiki/Options-for-installing-IoTivity-stack-on-Edison Options for installing IoTivity stack on Edison.
Hope this information helps.

Hi,
I commented the below lines in the file "~/edison-src/device-software/meta-edison-middleware/recipes-core/images/edison-image.bbappend".
IMAGE_INSTALL += "iotkit-agent"
IMAGE_INSTALL += "iotkit-lib-c-dev"
Then the build process resumed. And i got below error after executing the command "bitbake edison-image -c populate_sdk".
--------------------------------------- Error -----------------------------------------------
spanidea@spanidea-Lenovo-G50-80:~/NEW_Shreyas/edison-src/build$ bitbake edison-image-c populate_sdk

Is this becuase of the commented line. Or any other issue. Please reply back soon
Thanks in advance

Hi Yogeesh,
Thanks for sharing the error you have got.
I would like to let you know that customizing images is out of our support scope, however I was looking for the error message you have got and I believe it could be related with the process of adding IoTivity to the image. I have found this link: https://lists.yoctoproject.org/pipermail/yocto/2013-May/014031.html https://lists.yoctoproject.org/pipermail/yocto/2013-May/014031.html, there they have solved an error that it is similar to the error you have got. Additionally, I would recommend you to read the meta-oic layer instructions of "building IoTivity for a Yocto target" section, there you can find how to build the Yocto image and then the Yocto cross-toolchain, check this information here: http://git.yoctoproject.org/cgit/cgit.cgi/meta-oic/about/?h=1.1.0 index : meta-oic.
Moreover, I would recommend you to contact the IoTivity support (https://wiki.iotivity.org/frequently_asked_questions https://wiki.iotivity.org/frequently_asked_questions), they could give you a more accurate answer.
