Hi, I am a student and I had problems the last two days with Intel Edison , it didn't recognize me the intel Edison COM port. I took the Intel and seems to be formatting. I had been trying Yocto installing , reinstalling the firmware but I found full installation errors , I would greatly appreciate If you could help with to resolve problem. Many thanks.

Hello pauloocv,

It seems that your Edison might have had a software issue at its OS level. I suggest you to try to recover your board with either the Flash Tool Lite method or the flashall method. You can find them in:

Flash Tool Lite:

https://software.intel.com/en-us/articles/flash-tool-lite-user-manual

Flashall:

https://communities.intel.com/docs/DOC-25154 https://communities.intel.com/docs/DOC-25154

If those methods do not work, then i'd suggest you to use the Flashall.sh and pre-built xFSTK method which can be found in:

https://communities.intel.com/message/257171# 257171 https://communities.intel.com/message/257171# 257171

Let me know if you are able to use your board after trying these methods, I'd be glad to help if otherwise.

Do you have any updates on this? Were you able to recover your board?
