Hi Julian,

I'm not quite sure if PortAudio is already installed in the Galileo, but if not, you can configure your Galileo to fetch packages from the AlexT repository, which has that package. So if you need instructions on that check this link http://alextgalileo.altervista.org/package-repo-configuration-instructions.html http://alextgalileo.altervista.org/package-repo-configuration-instructions.html.

Regarding the use of PortAudio, have you checked their tutorials on how to use it? If you don't have any luck with the process above you can build it from source, you'll find the instructions in there for Linux. After that you'll find a section on how to program with PortAudio, you'll need to run their examples to get a better idea of its usage.

PortAudio: http://portaudio.com/docs/v19-doxydocs/tutorial_start.html http://portaudio.com/docs/v19-doxydocs/tutorial_start.html.

Check this thread too http://comments.gmane.org/gmane.comp.audio.portaudio.devel/6666 http://comments.gmane.org/gmane.comp.audio.portaudio.devel/6666.
