Hello there,
I thought there would be someone who might have the source code of the following workshop:
"Programming the Internet of Things with Node.js and HTML5"
-this took place at the O'Reilly Solid Conference, June 23, 2015 and was conducted by the following instructors:
Michael McCool
Ramesh Peri
Rex St John
I'm attaching the slides from this event.
Does anybody have the source codes of this project and is willing to share it with me? That would be highly appreciated.
Cheers,
Regards
g3jza

Hi g3jza,
There are different references in the document you posted and I'm not sure which project you are talking about.
Even though, you can find a lot of examples in the http://https//software.intel.com/en-us/getting-started-with-the-intel-xdk-iot-edition XDK IDE.
In the section for NodeJS projects:
Analog Read
Digital Read and Digital Write
LCD with Blacklight
Onboard LED Blink
PWM
IoT Devkit v1
Local Temperature
Touch Notifier
Simple Web Server
UART
SPI
ISR
Servrotary
BLE
Web Sockets
In the section for HTML5 projects:
Standard HTML5
HTML5+Cordova
You can also find some games with their respective source files in the IDE.
Take a look at them and let me know if they are useful for you, if they are not what you are looking for, please let me know what do you want to develop and regarding the PDF you posted the pages with the example you want.
Now, I also saw this link http://conferences.oreilly.com/solid/internet-of-things-2015/public/schedule/detail/40797 Programming the Internet of Things with Node.js and HTML5: Hardware, Software & the Internet of Things, O'Reilly Solid, … where Michael McCool suggests to email him for the code of the course; you can also try this.

Charlie

Thanks Charlie,
unfortunately the link you've provided comes back as not available: http://https//software.intel.com/en-us/getting-started-with-the-intel-xdk-iot-edition http://https//software.intel.com/en-us/getting-started-with-the-intel-xdk-iot-edition
I'm looking for any project that involves node.js, web sockets, mqtt and HTML5 and the project I was referring to contains it all. I don't have any specific project in mind currently, I just want to learn node.js + web sockets.

g3jza

Hi g3jza,
Try with this link: https://software.intel.com/en-us/intel-xdk-iot-edition-guide IoT - Intel® XDK IoT Edition User Guide | Intel® Developer Zone
In the XDK IDE you will find the example "Web Sockets", this was made on Javascript and I think it would be helpful, I suggest you to look into the examples on the XDK, it will give you an idea on how to develop your application.
Also, I found some other examples on the Internet that may be helpful for you:
