I am using firmware version 159 and downloaded blink example file using arduino ide. The problem is after reboot the sketch does not work.
I tried creating automateSketch.sh file and placed it in etc/init.d but that does not work.
Anyone can help me with this issue. Thanks

Hi ukay,
That's a known issue when using the 159 version. I recommend you to check the following thread where there is a description of a workaround suggested by another user: /thread/77945 https://communities.intel.com/thread/77945

Diego

Hi, Ukay, what's your image version? My version is the latest 3.0. Then I followed this procedure:https://software.intel.com/en-us/blogs/2015/08/01/procedure-to-autostart-the-arduino-sketch-on-ediso... Procedure to Autostart the Arduino Sketch on Edison | Intel® Developer Zone. But the sketch can only last for 5min after boot-up, even for the blink example. So I followed this procedure: , flash the image back to the old version. And it works!!!!
Hope will help u.

Thanks a lot Lane and Diego for you help.
I reflashed edison but this time i used the firmware version 146. I downloaded the blink sketch. It was working in device mode.
Then i changed the microswitch on the arduino breakout board to host mode ( push towards the bigger usb). Now the blink program works after reboot.
