stk2m3w64cc incorrect username password

i've installed windows 10 pro onto 2 ICS 64cc's and joined them to my networks domain with admin privileges. However when I try logging on with a domain account it keeps coming back with 'username or password incorrect' when I know it isnt. I've completely removed the device from AD and added it again only to get the same result.

You are preceding the login name with the name of the domain, correct? Eg, "DomainName\UserName"

Yes i am. I've also tried it in format mailto:username@domain.com username@domain.com. Same result, I've also tested the network connections directly on the switch and at the wall ports with the same cables connected to the 64cc's and still no joy.

Hello confused.com:

In regard to your inquiry, in order to better assist you, how are you connecting the stick to the network?

Are you using a USB to LAN adapter or a wireless connection?

Please provide a detailed description of the connection you are doing.

Any questions, please let me know.

Alberto

hi, the stick is connecting via a usb to lan adapter that plugs into the wall socket.

i've also removed one of the sticks, transferred it back to the main lan so it's connected directly to the main switch stack (not the satellite office) and tried logging in with the same result. Username \ password is incorrect when I know it is correct.

Have you tried to login to the domain from a computer that is not one of the Sticks?

Have you tried to create another account (with a simple username and password) on the server and log in with that?

And just to verify, with a "domain\username" login, you used a backslash between the domain and the username, correct?

Hello:

Thank you very much once again to Dean Gibson for the comments on this thread.

To confused.com:

Please try the steps above.

Since you are using a USB to LAN adapter, there might be compatibility issues with it, however, this problem seems to be related to the network configuration, since the problem is basically with the username and password.

A BIOS update to the latest version 0044 is also recommended.

Steps to do a BIOS update using the F7 method:

http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/boards-and-kits/desktop-boards/000005724.html http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/boards-and-kits/desktop-boards/000005724.html

And this is the .BIO file needed:

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/product/91980/Intel-Compute-Stick-STK2m3W64CC https://downloadcenter.intel.com/product/91980/Intel-Compute-Stick-STK2m3W64CC

If after trying the steps above, the problem persists, then it could be a problem with the stick itself.

The stick has 1 years of warranty, you can check directly with the place of purchase to find out if they can do that, or we can always replace it for you.

If you are interested in the replacement, please get in contact directly with us through chat, email, phone or online support, you just need to select compute stick on product type and you will get those options:

Any questions, please let me know.

Alberto
