Hi Alex,

Thanks for your interest in Intel Edison platform.

I'll try to help you, however, I've never done it. Looking in the web, I found information about live video streaming on Intel Edison using Node.js, here you can find all information https://github.com/drejkim/edi-cam/blob/master/README.md https://github.com/drejkim/edi-cam/blob/master/README.md. Also, I would like to recommend you to check the following threads, there are discussions about TFT displays for Edison:
  • /message/255896# 255896 Support for the Adafruit 2.8" TFT display for Arduino Edison
  • /message/271511# 271511 Looking for Edison compatible TFT display

Hope this information helps, if you have any questions, let me know.

Regards,

-Yermi

Hi Alex,

I understand that you want to display a webcam video (real time) on a TFT screen using your Edison, However, I haven't seen a similar project yet, but let me investigate and if I found something helpful I'll post that here.

I'll appreciate your patience.

Regards,

Hi Alex,

I was investigating how to display a webcam video on a TFT screen using the Edison board, and this has never been done before, so it could be a challenging thing to do. However, there are users that have used a TFT screen in their projects, please look at the "Edidoom: Intel Edison based video game console playing Doom" in this link /thread/58919 https://communities.intel.com/thread/58919. Maybe you can get an idea of how you can start developing and implementing for your project.

Have a nice day!

-Yermi
