Hello, seems as if I am in a wrong forum. I am using an HP Probook 650 G2. HP could not help, so I tried to get help from Intel. Is there any forum available for such kind of tasks? Thanks, Oliver

Hello OCarl2,
Thank you for your reply.
I will recommend you to contact HP since the system has its own customizations performed by HP also, the recommended driver for Intel management engine should be provided by the system manufacturer HP ProBook 650 G2 Notebook PC.

Thank you, yes, this should be the correct path. Instead, HP is not capable to solve this issue. They offered a new motherboard price 450 swiss francs. The device age is 1.8 years, no warranty....
So we close this issue now.
Regards
Oliver

Hi Oliver,
I want just to say that in many cases such error disappears after updating Bios to the latest version. In addition check in laptop download site if there is a new Intel Management User Interface driver for download.

Hi there, thanks, this is a good advice. I have done that both immediately after the error occured the first time.No chance... In fact, the bios tells me the state of the IME to be version 0.0.0.0. Even the tool MEInfo cannot connect to the IME anymore - seems dead. Regards, Oliver

Sounds like a botched bios update. You need to get your bios/ME straightened out with HP, as it is their bios.
