6CAYH - system clock spins like crazy

Hello community,

I have very weird problem with my 6CAYH - the system clock spins like crazy, this can be observed easily in UEFI shell - every system restart pushses date few days into future. Is my device broken? Currently I downgraded UEFI to 59, but the problem is still there - also tried to reset settings few times, but still no luck.

Thanks in advance for any tips!

Damian

Hello DDami8,

Thank you for posting on the Intel Communities.

Note:

  • For security reasons, BIOS downgrades aren't recommended.
  • If the BIOS must be downgraded, the recovery update may be the only method you can use.

I would like to have more information about the issue that you are experiencing, so if possible, could you please record a short video showing where the date on the BIOS is modified and save and then the computer is restarted and show again the date?

Besides this, I would like to know if when you mention that this happens every time you restart the computer is when you completely shut off the computer and then turn it on or when you restart the computer without loosing the power?

Best Regards,

Hello,

here's a link to video showing this behaviour - https://streamable.com/wvufw - note that this is not accelerated! Also two images taken 52 seconds after each other - system clock "managed" to gain about 10 hours in the meantime.
