Hello Jeff69,

Thank you for posting on the Intel communities. In order to have a better understanding of the issue, please share with us the following information:

  1. Are the peripherals wired or wireless?
  2. Have you tried using a different mouse and keyboard?
  3. Can you access the BIOS? If so, does the mouse and keyboard work on it?

I use BitLocker,

I need to backup my drive with an external tool before trying a new install.

I was hoping to find a simple solution.

Thanks for your help.

Hello Jeff69,

We have performed a lab trying to replicate the issue, however, we didn't encounter the same issue with the keyboard and mouse.

Since we were not able to replicate the issue, our recommendation is to back up all the information and try reinstalling the OS.

You can also try using a different SSD, install the OS, and test if the keyboard and mouse work without any issues. Also, you can try restoring the unit with restore points.

Please let me know if you are able to perform the steps and the results.
