Analog audio out Linux (Ubuntu22.04) NUC11PAH not selectable in GUI settings

Hi Intel Community,

I have spotted an audio issue where the analog audio 3.5mm on the front does not show up in Ubuntu 22.04s GUI.  (And other linux flavours such as Porteus Kiosk, Majoro.

 

There is  a known workaround from here ( I can confirm that is works on Ubuntu, Majoro and Porteus):

I have tried this on a different platform with Kernel 5.19.1 and issue is still there so I doubt it has been addressed already (may be work in progress)

However, i think it would be fair if Intel could consider to push in a "real" fix in the Linux Kernel for the hardware in question. 

This is from an internal discussion around a very simular matter on another computer H/W platform where they push a fix for their analog audio issue into the Kernel.:

Ideally this is something that would be nice if done closer to release of new harware.

Since these operating systems are not supported by the Intel® NUC11PAHi5, the drivers are not provided by us. Our best recommendation is to contact the distro for further assistance on this matter.
