Hi,
I want to install high-gain WiFi antennas (6dbi dual band 2.4GHz/5GHz) in a NUC 7i7BNH. I'm looking thus for an antenna connector to go from the wireless card (model 8265 D2W) and ending with a female RP-SMA. But I can't figure out what type of sockets are the ones in the wireless card. Initially I tried with MHF4, but they don't fit. Does anyone know what kind of socket it is? I attach a picture of the wireless card. Is there maybe another way around it?
Thanks in advance!

It's def. MHF4. I use MHF4 to RP-SMA for this NUC too. Either you don't have MHF4 pigtails or you don't put them on correctly. They are a little fiddly to install.
Hi smgz,

Hi felix.cirrus7,
As far as I know U.FL and MHF are compatible with each other and the difference between MHF(1), 2, 3, and 4 is the height. MHF4 being the most low-profile.

Hi Leon,
Thanks for your response. I had read that thread, but since it seems that the MHF4 connector doesn't fit, I was wondering if the wireless cards are actually different (note that in the thread they talk about AC 8265 NGFF and I have model 8265 D2W). Do you know anything about the differences between these models?

Hi smgz,
Besides the form factor, NGFF = next generation form factor and D2W = die to wafer, I do not know if there are any differences.
Hopefully someone else can inform us.

Hi,
Just as an update, I finally managed to connect the MHF4 connector. It was actually useful that I bought two pairs, cause one of them got squashed and deformed while trying to connect it... it was quite tricky.
Thanks loads for the support
