In a test suite for a large app, I am seeing crashes on exit of a few unit
test programs when built with -fsanitize=address and run on Hades Canyon
(I have one each of NUC8i7HVK and NUC8i7HNK, and it happens on both, but not on a Skull Canyon).
The problem happens reliably, but seems to move around if I change the source.
This is on ubuntu 19.04 with gcc-7, gcc-8, or gcc-9, but not gcc-6.
The symptom is - the test passes, but on exit, asan hits an internal error and aborts:

I guess I'll try it with ubuntu 19.10 next, and/or on more hardware.

Hello DKege,
Thank you for posting on the Intel® communities.
We would like to gather more details in order to take a look into the issue described, could you please provide hardware information using the hwinfo command or lshw - List Hardware?
You may save the information in a .txt file and upload it to this thread. To attach a file, you must click the “Attach” option on the bottom left-hand corner of the response box.
Note: Keep in mind that Linux distributions have not been validated yet for these Intel® NUCs (NUC8i7HVK and NUC8i7HNK) so we suggest checking your Linux distro's website and forums at https://ubuntuforums.org/*. for peer assistance with this issue.

Hi Andrew,
I'm testing on a third (and different era) Hades now, and on more versions of Ubuntu. I'll have more info as soon as I can.

Quick update: the problem happens somewhat less with ubuntu 18.04, and in my two tests so far, doesn't happen with ubuntu 19.10.
It was only easily reproducible on ubuntu 19.04.

Hello DKege,
Thank you for the updates on the behavior of the issue you reported. It seems that the outcome or behavior is different based on the Ubuntu version and actually does not reproduce on version 19.04, I would recommend reporting this to the Linux/Ubuntu Forum Support.
Also, if you still want us to look into the behavior, please provide the hardware information using the hwinfo command or lshw - List Hardware
