Hi,
I have admin rights on the new PC and am trying to install the BNKBL357.86A.0070.EB.msi update as advised by the Driver and support assistant.
The msi has downloaded with no incident, but everytime I run it, it bombs out after .5 of a second.
Windows App log lists a 1026 error for it:

Hi J_i_m_s_t_e_r: Thank you for joining the Intel® communities support.
Based on the information that you gave us, that file is actually to do a BIOS update to the NUC to the latest version available. Please follow the steps in the link below to do a BIOS update and let us know the results when you get the chance:
https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000005850/mini-pcs.html
This is the file needed for the update:

Alberto: The BIOS file you're refering to seems to be the exact same as the OP is trying to install.
I have a NUC7I5BNK and I'm experiencing the same problem, as does the OP in this thread:
https://communities.intel.com/thread/130271 https://communities.intel.com/thread/130271
I hope this is sorted out soon.
Best regards

Leon
That F7 boot method worked for me, I just wanted to know what the deal was with the .msi, as the unit is wall-mounted behind a screen - pure software method should be easier.
Thanks.

Hi,
I can't answer this question. May be some body from Intel will answer. I my self never use the express method as not always it works. In most cases I'm updating my bios pressing F4 from Power Button Menu( this is bios recovery).
I'm glad that your NUC is now updated.

Thanks, Leon!
I just updated the BIOS with the F7 method. The updated didn't generate any error messages. After rebooting I was unable to access the system, as my BIOS password wasn't accepted. I guess I'll have to reset the CMOS.

Hi Torgrim ,
Remove the yellow security jumper and power ON your NUC. Do not insert any USB stick. In less than 1 minute, your NUC should boot into configuration menu, similar to the attached image. Press [2] to clear the password.

Same issue here with my NUC7i5BNK.
Had no issue at all with my other NUC7i7BNH!
'EBU.UI.EXE.exe' throws a .NET4 unhandled exception.
Re-register, repair, reinstalling .NET4 didn't solve it.
Will try the F7 method. Thanks.
