Hi,
I tried to update the BIOS to new 43 version - started via the Windows Tool.
The update completely run trough with all compontents.
After the automatical reboot, I only get a blank screen. Nothing more.
I tried to "downgrade" to v42 version via
- removing yellow jumper
- FAT32-USB-Stick with the .cab file in the root directory
-power cord on and power
but nothing appears. The screen remains blank.
Any suggestions how to get my NUC running again?

I found out that rear USB-C isn't working anymore after the v43-Update. Thats why my monitor remains blank.
If I switch over to HDMI system boots - but I'm not able to use USB-C anymore.

Hello PeterStoss,
Thank you for posting on the Intel® communities. I understand you are having issues with your Intel® NUC 11 Performance kit - NUC11PAHi7.
In order to better assist you, please provide the following:
1. Have you tried with different thunderbolt cables?
2. Have you tried updating the Thunderbolt firmware?
3. Have you tried updating the graphics driver?
4. Have you run the Windows updates?

Good day,
- cable and monitor still work fine with other computers. Cable change doesn't solve it at all
- all drivers and Windows Update ist up2date
- no video signal problem already starts prior Windows Boot - no BIOS screen at all. So no video output at all after update to Bios-Version v0043.

Hello PeterStoss,
Thank you for the information provided. Based on your issue, I would like you to try the following:
1. Hard reset:
Check Jumper location on the datasheet on page 34: https://www.intel.com/content/dam/support/us/en/documents/intel-nuc/NUC11PA_TechProdSpec.pdfhttps://...
- 1. Unplug the power
- 1.1. Remove jumper
- 2. Plug the power
- 2.1. Press the power button for 10 sec
- 3. Unplug the power
- 3.1. Place jumper 2-3
- 4. Plug the power
- 4.1. Press the power button for 10 sec
- 5. Unplug the power
- 5.1. Place jumper 1-2
- 6. Plug the power
- 6.1. Press the power button for 10 sec
2. Clear CMOS (try this if you feel comfortable with the steps):
- Disconnect all devices with an electrical current coming in from the computer.
- Remove the bottom chassis cover.
- Remove the board from the chassis to access the battery on the processor side of the board.
- Disconnect the battery from the connector to remove the battery.
- Wait for about 3 minutes for all power to get discharged from the system. (You can also press and hold the power button as well.)
- Insert the battery back into the holder.
- Reinstall the board in the chassis.
- Replace the chassis cover.
- Reconnect all peripherals and the power adapter.
- Press the power button.
Warning:
1. To guard against electrical shock, always power off and unplug your computer from the electrical outlet before opening the cover.
2. The motherboard must be removed from the Intel NUC chassis to access the CMOS battery.
Best regards,
Deivid A.

Hello PeterStoss,
Just to clarify @DeividA_Intel instruction to clear CMOS. The CMOS battery need not to be removed, only the CMOS battery connector should be disconnected. Since this connector is located on board visual side (see the attached image), the board need not to be removed for the chassis either. This makes this procedure much easier.
