Hello everyone. I know that a couple of posts have been made about this update. I looked through them, however I have additional information and because of this I create this post. Updates are not made either by the express method, nor in manual mode, nor by using BIOS recovery. After the update, if the video card was connected via the thunderbolt port, the system did not boot, rebooted in a minute, and said that there were unforeseen post codes. Without a thunderbolt, the system booted up, however, in the device manager, the BIOS parameter with an exclamation mark, version costs 0079, HOWEVER, the BIOS 0078 is visible at the BIOS input and in the system. Due to the fact that I even used the BIOS recovery system, I don’t know how to fix this problem

Hello Ilya E, I just received an update on this matter.
We found an issue that when updating to BIOS version 0079 the system initiates the update process but it cannot be completed, this happens if "Secure Boot" option is enabled in BIOS.
BIOS version 0079 is being removed from the Intel® Download Center and will be replaced with a version that allows the update with “Secure Boot” option enabled.
While BIOS update to version 0079 can be executed with “Secure Boot” option set to disabled, we would recommend that you wait until we release a more recent BIOS version for your system.
Please stay tuned for more updates.

Ilya E, Thank you for posting in the Intel® Communities Support.
In reference to this scenario, we just wanted to verify a few details on this case:
How many Intel® NUCs do you have that are showing the same symptoms?
What would you consider will be the impact of the Intel® NUC not installing BIOS update 0079?
Are you using the Intel® Driver and Support Assistant?
Please provide pictures of any error message, including if "device manager" shows any error as well.
What is the SA and SN of the NUC.
Please provide the SSU report, to attach the report, once you choose "reply" select the "clip" icon on the lower-left corner

Any questions, please let me know.

Hello. Sorry for not writing basic things. I have only one nuc and this is NUC8I3BEH
"What would you consider will be the impact of the Intel® NUC not installing BIOS update 0079?" - I did not quite understand the question. can you say what you mean?
"Are you using the Intel® Driver and Support Assistant?" - Yes of course. The Intel® driver and support assistant did not successfully update the BIOS, I tried to update it through the BIOS itself (yes, I entered the interface, and version 0078 was shown there), and update through a USB flash drive formatted in advance. Then I tried to update the BIOS through recovery, by removing the jumper from the motherboard. None of the methods even started updating the BIOS. The boot just continued. Then I just installed 0078 in the third way, and everything went well
"Please provide pictures of any error message, including if "device manager" shows any error as well." - I didn’t take pictures, because the unsuccessful BIOS update scared me a little, but within an hour or two, I will try again and I’ll throw everything off. I will try again with

If necessary, I even shot a video the installation from the moment the update was downloaded, to the start of the system and viewing update notifications

Ilya E, No problem at all, thank you very much for sharing those details and providing that information.
Yes, sorry, what I mean about the impact of the Intel® NUC not working properly was just to confirm if this is, for example, a production unit, and a company or store relies on the latest BIOS update for the proper functioning of this device.
The video will not be necessary for the moment, we will do further research on this matter, as soon as I get any updates I will post all the details on this thread.

Ilya E, You are very welcome, thank you very much for letting us know those details.
Perfect, no problem, we completely understand that you rather wait for a new BIOS release for the Intel® NUC. As soon as the new BIOS version becomes available I will post all the information on this thread.
