BXNUC10I5FNKPA2 Windows Server 2019 driver missing

Jump to solution

Hi there,

I came here to ask about the NUC BXNUC10I5FNKPA2.

We bought 2 of them to make tiny AD controllers out of them.

Now I can't even install Win Server 2019 as a driver is missing (I suppose NVME device not recognized?)

Any idea on how to install Win Server on those NUCs?

Thanks

David

Hi, this is solved! Just don't use a USB 3.0 stick for installation!

Hello DavidSch,

Thank you for posting on the Intel® communities.

The Intel® NUC 10 Performance Mini PC – NUC10i5FNKPA is a NUC that comes with Windows 10 Home already installed as you can check here under Products with Pre-installed operating system (OS): https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000055953/intel-nuc.html

This NUC has not been tested to work with Windows Server 2019, please see the compatible Operating Systems (OS) in the following links:

You may want to double-check with Microsoft* to see if they have any recommendations to run Windows Sever 2019 in this specific NUC.

What still seems impossible is to get drivers for Windows server 2019?!

Missing already the ethernet driver. No driver from the homepage works!

Is there no possibility to have drivers working for WS2019?

I might need to send the NUCs back. Or perhaps add a virtualization layer here? Would add overhead though.
