Boot failure issue with just replacing miniSSD

Hi NUC team,

I keep failing to boot up with miniSSD which was ok to boot up, after replacing other miniSSD for other purpose.

I have 2 miniSSDs.

Here is the step.

1. I installed Ubuntu in 1st SSD and used it for a while.

2. I took out 1st SSD.

After that I inserted 2nd SSD and installed CentOS.

3. I took out 2nd SSD and inserted 1st back to NUC

4. it does not boot and look for bootable device.

It happens always.

Do you know how to make it boot again?

Regards,

Peter.

Hello zoss,

I understand that your SSD is not being recognized after inserting another one and then re-inserting the original one.

Regarding this, I will need more information about the system, specifically I will need the model of the NUC, as well as the model of the SSDs. Something you can try in order to fix this problem is to re-install Ubuntu* in the SSD that is no longer recognized as a bootable device, also, before doing so, take the settings of the BIOS back to default. This is to make sure that no change in the BIOS is causing the problem.

I hope this helps.

Regards,
