My Windows start menu does not work anymore upon wake up from a stand-by. It is a pretty annoying bug, and I have to reboot my computer often.
This is the issue: after entering my pin, the windows have changed size more or less randomly, usually small size and the start menu does not work anymore when I click on it or use the shortcut keys.
I have reinstalled windows entirely and the issue persist.
I attach the SSU log if that can help in any way.
Thank you if you can help with that

Hello FabrCreg,
Thank you for posting on the Intel® communities.
In order to better assist you, please try/provide the following:
1. What step did you take to install Windows?
2. IS the issue recent? If so, when did it start?
3. Try a BIOS recovery.
- BIOS: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download/18677/bios-update-kyskli70.html
- Steps: Are attached.
4. Have you run all Windows updates, including optional updates?

Hi Deivid,
Thanks for your reply. It is difficult to answer your questions since I had to ask a technician to reinstall Windows on my PC as the usual reinstall options were not working correctly. Also since the OS has been reinstalled, I have installed several programs and not sure when the problem started appearing.
Currently, I have restore points only 5-10 days ago which clearly is too recent to be effective.
Another issue that I face now in relation to the appearance interface is that the lock-up screen of Windows would not refresh the daily picture, which I understand might not be related...
Sorry that I cannot provide more information!

Hello FabrCreg,
Based on the information provided, I would like to confirm the following:
1. Were you able to perform a BIOS recovery?
2. Did you run all the Windows updates, including optional updates?
3. Can you take a short video of the issue?
Regards,
Deivid A.

Dear Deivid,
I have updated the BIOS to the latest version and this seems to have fixed the problem.
I could notice that one of the symptom was that shellexperiencehost.exe would not run after resuming activity from the lock screen, after a certain time.
I have tested the same behaviour (locking windows + time) on several occasions and the issue seems to have been solved. I still encounter a few display issues, but I will open a new topic discussion if it was to become problematic.
Thanks so much for your help!
Best,
Fabrice

Hi Deivid,
Just to let you know that after a little while the display issue seems to have resumed.
The symptoms are the following: when I put Windows on stand-by for a long time (ie more than 30 min), the display becomes funny.
It starts with a resizing of the open explorer and other programs' windows, then the start button would not show up, and then it's a complete bug of the display.
The only way to correct the issue is then to disconnect the user and reconnect or completely reboot the system. While it is not the end of the world, I believe this should not happen.
I attach some pictures here that show what I am referring to.
Many thanks
