I just purchased an Intel NUC 8i5BEK and want to run Scientific Linux 7 on it. I've tried creating a bootable USB using the 'Scientific-7.6-Everything-DVD-x86_64.iso' ISO, but when I attempted to boot from the USB it said there was a security error and afterwards that there was no bootable media detected even with the USB plugged in.
However, when I tried using the same USB to boot UBuntu 18.04.3 (using the 'ubuntu-18.04.3-desktop-amd64.iso' ISO image, I was able to get that to boot on the NUC without any issues.
Is there a way I can get Scientific Linux 7 on the NUC 8i5BEK?

The other side of that coin is that barebones PCs can be good for people who aren’t planning on paying for an OS walmartone. You can use your favorite Linux distribution on a barebones PC without paying the added cost for some Windows license you have no intention of using.
