Hi,

Is it possible for NUC 12 series to disable E-cores ( Efficiency cores) in BIOS?

Thank you!

In BIOS you can disable all but 1 efficency core but this doesn't seem to aid in game FPS but your milage may vary.

There are reviews out there. There is also an option to use the SCROLL LOCK Key as a LEGACY BIOS setting that is supposed to do the same.

Best of luck.

Thank you so much for your reply.

Just to make sure.

You mentioned "In BIOS you can disable all but 1 efficency core but...".

I am feeling a bit confused here.

Do you mean I can disable some e-cores but must have at least one e-cores enabled? Or I can disable all e-cores?

By the way, I am not going to use the NUC for gaming and I may not even install windows on NUC.

I may need to disable the e-cores for compatible needs but not improving performance.

In the Windows Startup configuration, you can choose to have specific cores disabled. This can be used to disable the efficiency cores.

Hope this helps,
