I have a NUC5i7RYH. Trying to turn it on and I get no activity other than the fan coming on. The power led lights but the hard drive led does not. No monitor output at all. Tried removing hard drive and RAM. Tried with one RAM in front and back. No good.
Tried the security BIOS update (remove jumper), no good.
Anything else I can try?

- Try to disconnect the CMOS battery (and the Power Adapter) and reconnect it after 15 minutes.
- In order to reach the CMOS battery connector, the board have to be removed from its case. This manual will show you how to do this.

An alternative thing to try is to use the mini-DisplayPort connector with an mDP-to-HDMI adapter. I have twice seen RY NUCs whose HDMI output failed but the mDP kept on chugging.

Already tried disconnecting the battery, no good.
Only using the miniDP, I'll try the mini HDMI just to be sure but I don't think it's a display problem. Again, the hdd light doesn't even blink.

If you attempt to power it on with the SODIMMs removed, do you see the Power Button LED flash? If not, then something on the motherboard has failed and the unit will have to be replaced.
