Looking for help, as I could'nt find my answers alone.
Everything was working fine, I had my Sonnet sfp+ 10gbe connected to thunderbolt 3 port, but after I connected a rj45 cable, it stopped working.
I'm running windows 10 pro...
I tried installing latest driver on and on, unsuccessfully.
Also, I can never see the "other devices" in the service settings...
Thank you!

Hello Ludo76,
Thank you for posting on the Intel® communities.
To better assist you I would appreciate if you could provide the following information:
- Have you tried other devices connected using that port? If so, do you notice any difference?
- Were any changes made in BIOS prior to this behavior?
- Did you perform any driver related updates?
- Please provide the version of the drivers that you have tested.
Please run the following tool and attach the reports generated.
Intel® System Support Utility (Intel® SSU) Download link
1.Open the application and click on "Scan" to see the system and device information.
2. By default, Intel® SSU will take you to the "Summary View".
3. Click on the menu where it says "Summary" to change to "Detailed View".
4. To save your scan, click on "Next", then "Save".

Hello Esteban,
Thank you for answering me!
So:
- I just connected an usb mouse with an usb c adapter to the thunderbolt port, and it's recognized! I don't have any other thunderbolt hardware to test, unfortunately
- No change made to the BIOS prior to the problem, only after
- About the driver updates, well , I tried the last DCH one , right click install on the info files, rebooting but nothing happened. I tried that several times, as well as a BIOS downgrade followed by upgrade... But again nothing prior to the problem, it come instantly, as soon as I plugged my ethernet cable...

Hello Ludo76,
Thank you so much for your response.
I was reviewing the report attached and we can clearly see that in terms of software the unit is up to date.
I would like to confirm the following:
- I understand that for testing purposes, you tested a USB mouse with an USB-C adapter to the NUC and you were able to use the device with no problems. Is that correct? If that is the case, that would indicate that the port is working as expected.
- Was this “Sonnet SFP+ 10Gb” working fine at a certain point? Is it the same time that you are using this device with this specific NUC?
Please follow the steps below to check the Thunderbolt option in BIOS:
- Press F2 during boot to enter BIOS Setup.
- Go to Advanced > Devices > Onboard Devices.
- Check that the Thunderbolt Controller is enabled.
- Press F10 to save and exit BIOS Setup.
Have you tried downloading the Thunderbolt™ 3 driver for your NUC? If not, please follow the steps provided in the following link.
This is required when planning to use a Thunderbolt device with the NUC.
