Can't turn on my NUC

Hi, I have a Intel NUC 7i7bnh with a M.2 SSD, 2 memory modules and a additional SSD disk installed. Yesterday I took it apart and cleaned it from dust.

The issue is, that it won't turn on.

There's a small green LED on the board, which blinks one time when I connect the power adapter and immediately turns off. As I press the power button, nothing happens.

BUT, when I take the board out from the case and I connect it to power, the green LED stays on and I can turn on the computer. As soon as I put it back in the case, I'm unable to do so. The green LED blinks for about a quarter second and that's it.

During the disassembly I managed to strip the head of one of the two black screws which hold the board.

Any help or ideas is appreciated.

Thanks.

Sounds like some sort of short or ground loop is forming and killing power. Have you tried a different power supply? If you have it hooked through a UPS, try without.

Yes, I tried two different power supplies, with the same result. I don't have an UPS.

Take it out of the chassis and again verify that it works then. When returning it to the chassis, do not worry about the two screws that hold in the board; test without them.
