My NUC813BEH does not output to my dual displays when connected to my StarTech SV231DPDDUA monitor switch. The switch works fine switching dual monitor output between my Dell and Lenovo laptops, but does not display either monitor when used with my NUC.
The NUC does output to both displays when directly connected to each, but not through the monitor switch. Here is the cable/port configuration.
NUC direct to Acer monitors (this works):
Monitor 1 - NUC HDMI to monitor HDMI
Monitor 2 - NUC USB 3 to monitor HDMI
NUC to monitor switch to monitors (work with laptops, not NUC):
Monitor 1 - NUC HDMI to switch Displayport to monitor HDMI
Monitor 2 - NUC USB 3 to switch Displayport to monitor HDMI
Any help is appreciated. Following is a link to the switch:

I have two 4-port HDMI switches.
Switch 1:
- DZ87KLT-75K
- NUC8i7HVKVA
- NUC8i7INH
- Microsoft Lumia 950 XL
Switch 2:
- DZ87KLT-75K
- NUC6i7KYK
- NUC7i7DNHE
- available
This is the switch I use (I have two of them):
https://www.amazon.com/Zagall-4x1-USB-HDMI-Switch/dp/B00E8NOF0Q
Each switch works as it should.
And, I just gave my son a switch I was not using. He has a laptop and a NUC.

His switch:
- NUC8i7HVKVA
- Some laptop
- available
- available
All connections are HDMI, using the cables provided by the switch manufacturer.
So, yes, NUCs work with KVM switches.

Thanks, Al.
I have wondered if my NUC is unhappy going through my DisplayPort KVM switch to reach my HDMI monitors. My laptops work fine in the same setup.
I used to have DisplayPort monitors, which is why my switch is DisplayPort. When I got new HDMI monitors I just changed the cables to go from DisplayPort to HDMI. That has worked fine with the laptops, but not the NUC. I wonder if installing a DisplayPort driver on the NUC would solve its woes with the DisplayPort switch? Maybe the docking stations the laptops sit in help them around whatever is hindering the NUC in my setup.
Might end up replacing my switch with a dual monitor, dual computer HDMI switch to better work with the NUC.
